Health Sciences Liaison Librarian UIW Mission Position Summary The Health Sciences Liaison Librarian will provide the full range of co-curricular teaching and learning support, reference and research consultation, and work collaboratively with faculty and students in support of health sciences education and research and in the development of specific medical informatics and health sciences information meta-literacies. Position provides instructional assistance to members of the academic community, including students, faculty, and administrators in physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, nursing and other health sciences disciplines. The Health Sciences Liaison Librarian reports to the Director of Public Services. Essential Functions Job Duties Knowledge Skills and Abilities <ul> <li>Must be a highly skilled user of medical databases with demonstrated expertise in PICO and other evidence-based medicine information literacy processes.</li> <li>Must possess strong communication, written, oral, and teaching skills.</li> <li>Must have solid understanding of learning assessment practices.</li> <li>Must be able to utilize technology to provide instruction and services to online learners.</li> <li>Proficiency using major medical databases, research and data sources.</li> <li>Must be able to work well with all members of the academic community.</li> <li>Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, evenings and/or weekends as needed.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.</li> <li>Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.</li> </ul> Required Education MLS/MLIS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution. Admissions Recruiter-School of Rehabilitation Sciences UIW Mission Position Summary The Admissions Recruiter is responsible for recruiting prospective students to the University of Incarnate Word's School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS). This position will also assist with prospective student events, applications and application/matriculation fees, matriculation processes, alumni engagement, and creation of promotional materials. The Admissions Recruiter reports to the Director of Enrollment. Note that this position is expected to travel within the U.S. at least 25% of the time in an official recruitment capacity.
