Sr. Promotional Planning Analyst


The primary responsibility of this role is to develop promotional recommendations that align with merchant strategies. This includes ensuring the merchants promotional strategy is translated across all marketing channels. This role serves as a business partner to the applicable merchant team(s) to fully understand the strategy and assist in the execution of it.Furthermore, this role will operate as a leader within the team, leading captainships and strategic initiatives as well as providing training and assisting in the development of Promotional Specialists.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Supports one merchant division of high level complexity or two merchant divisions of medium complexity on promotional strategies
• Provides insights and data analytics to assist merchants develop promotional strategies (i.e. working with Finance on creation of promotional reporting including analysis and insights for merchants)
• Leads review process to ensure promotions are being executed correctly in print and across other marketing channels for specific division
• Leverages competitive analysis, historical performance, seasonal indexing, and price elasticity to build promotional recommendations
• Serves as day-to-day contact for merchants to react and adjust promotional plans accordingly
• Partners with marketing to ensure promotional plans are executed correctly across the appropriate channels
• Reviews historical data, prior promotions, market demand and elasticity, etc. to recommend new and relevant promotions and the prioritization of promotions for specific divisions
• Coordinates promotion requests and provides data and necessary information to executives and key business stakeholders to ensure the enterprise is aware of promotions and changes
• Drives integration of strategic initiatives such as Pro and Services into the promotional plan
Required Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field and
•3+ years experience in pricing, merchandising, marketing or finance
•7+ years combined experience in pricing, merchandising, marketing or finance in lieu of degree
•2+ years experience in analyzing data and translating business objectives/goals into actionable pricing and promotional recommendations required
• High proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools required

Master's Degree
MBA or related field
