Senior Analyst - Financial Planning

    Explore open positions in our Finance department, which manages the company's budgets, forecasts and investments, and provides analysis of our financial performance and strategies.

    Job overview and responsibilities

    Responsible for supporting the Managing Director of FP&A and the Director of Financial and Capital Planning in forecasting and reporting United Continental Holdings’ overall financial performance.

        Works with department FP&A teams, treasury, tax, and accounting teams to create monthly forecast and annual budget for UCH’s financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow), including corporate items such as employee incentives and taxes
        Partners with financial systems team to enhance and expand usage of Hyperion tools and capabilities across FP&A
        Builds financial models in support of long range planning process as well as ad-hoc scenario analysis needs
        Supports preparation of Board of Director, Leadership Conference and monthly Officer meeting presentations
        Creates monthly/quarterly financial reports for finance leadership and executive team
        Performs ad-hoc financial analysis


        MBA or Master’s degree in finance or engineering related field
        Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products and knowledge of accounting and financial statements
        3 Years FP&A experience
        Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
        Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
        Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


        Three statement financial modeling experience
        Hyperion Planning experience
        Oracle GL experience
